Deborah Ball on Mathematical Content Knowledge for Teaching

Some Math Blogs I like:

AngryMath – This guy is great!  A post he did a couple of years ago filled with expletives and discontent about the way we teach the order of operations (BEWARE, this blog post is PG-13 for explicit language) really helped me up my game  .   These rants (rant 1, rant 2) on the teaching of the equals sign are equally terrific. I will go on a similar tirade myself in an upcoming blogpost.

I Speak Math – This blogger has some helpful instructional links and is a nice resource for middle school math teachers in particular.  Her blog about effort versus ability in math is particularly interesting to me.

Send me more suggestions!
